Cyclone Yasa coming Fiji’s way

Cyclone Yasa was upgraded to a Category 5 storm early on Wednesday after it sustained winds of 160 miles per hour. Fiji’s Meteorological Service forecasted that it is likely to make landfall on Thursday or Friday with flash floods in all low-lying areas and strong winds across the entire archipelago nation. Fiji shut down all schools, postponed senior students’ exams, and encouraged everyone to board up their homes, keep ready emergency kits, and be prepared to leave their houses for evacuation centers. It is estimated that 600,000 people are directly in the path of the storm.
